Battle Jacket

When queuing for a concert, I came across something that reminded me of my project about Age Restrictions. When looking at the patches on someone’s Battle Jacket, I noticed an unconventional addition of a LEGO one. This reminded me of my earlier investigation into LEGO.

When I asked him if I could take a quick photo of it, he was enthusiastic about me and said ‘Who doesn’t like LEGO?,’ saying that he had put it at the centre because everyone loves it.

Battle jackets are something within the metal culture seen to be more of an adult hobby – people collect patches over a period of time of their favourite bands, etc. and then sew them onto their denim vests. I like the idea of taking something seemingly designed for people of older ages giving it a twist so that the content is instead for things typically related to children.
